Mood moves in the body before it reaches awareness — in heart rhythm, sleep, motion. drome reads that signal, so the shift can be seen early, and seen objectively.
the problem
The mood that feels best is the one that goes unreported.
Self-report fails exactly where the stakes are highest. A low stretch announces itself; an elevated one feels like clarity, confidence, finally being well — so it never makes it into the session. The record stays incomplete, and everyone working from it is working blind.
the signal
- heart rhythm — beat-to-beat variability, the body's fastest tell.
- sleep — depth and timing, often the first thing a shift disturbs.
- motion — pace and activity, the visible part of energy.
Read together, they form one continuous, objective trace. Nothing to log, nothing to remember, nothing to admit.
for the people doing the caring
Between sessions, recall is the only instrument. drome is the second one: continuous, objective, and indifferent to how good the week felt.
Patients arrive with a week compressed into minutes of memory. drome gives the clinician an objective between-session signal — not a diagnosis, not a prediction, a record — so the conversation starts from what happened rather than what survived recall.
why this exists

drome began as a personal experiment: a shift in my own mood that someone else saw before I did. I went looking for the signal that could have told me, and found it lives in the body before it reaches awareness. I believe a faculty you can't introspect can still be interacted with — once you can see it. I'm building the instrument I needed.
